This man evokes such powerful emotions in me during my 54 years of life. No other song writer/singer has made me goth guffaw and cry in such a short space of time.The wife dragged me kicking and screaming into the 21st century by buying a pc + internet. Glad she did as I've discovered this site and other folk who think the world of Jake. :)

Thanks for this great site! It brought back such wonderful memories of my mum & I laughing together at Jakes wonderful songs. And what a voice...!!!
I saw Jake at Croydon's Fairfield hall and he was great! I would have loved to see him in a smaller, more intimate setting. He was a true English classic! Unique & sadly missed.

Jake Thackray deserves much greater official recognition in the history of British art than he has received. His writings are masterpieces of wit and technical skill. His live performances were also masterpieces. Thanks for this excellent web site.
