Frank Bruce from Melton Constable, Norfolk | Signed on: Sun 08 Oct 2006 13:51:32 BST A great site! Have just watched the BBC4 documentary and am reminded of a former enthusiasm. Particularly , I remember seeing one of Jake's concerts at Red Lion Square in London during the mid seventies. A truely English genius! |

| Stochata | Signed on: Sun 08 Oct 2006 00:15:57 BST "Spellbinding" is the word for last night's BBC4 programme. As a child Thackery's lyrics were too complex for me, too connected to music hall, which I fully hated. Now, finally, I have been introduced properly. And what better to back it up than this site. I've turned straight to the lyrics, I am sure I will stay to pore for hours. |
Alex Boydell from U.K. | Signed on: Sun 08 Oct 2006 00:15:35 BST Last nights BBC programme reminded me of the sheer enjoyment i got fromthe quirky lyrics and his amazing playing. |

paulom from chester | Signed on: Sun 08 Oct 2006 00:14:08 BST Like many other people I caught the bbc4 prog last night and was blown away! I am a huge fan of Half-man half-biscuit and found it easy to fall for jake's amazing tracks. |
DH from Telford | Signed on: Sun 08 Oct 2006 00:13:45 BST I'm an old hand with Jake stuff, but just had to sign in to restate my love for the old bugger, and to say what a great job VLS & the Beeb had done for him Now we need to lobby the Beeb to get the show repeated on mainstream BBC1 or 2 and get those other shows out of the archives and onto the small screen. Cheers all, DH |
| Crombie Boy | Signed on: Sun 08 Oct 2006 00:13:23 BST Flicking through the channels last night when I saw JT singing. Couldn't beleive my eyes, fantastic! Remember him on a regular spot on local telly in the seventies. BBC must repeat this! |
