Ed Stewart Show - 2004/01/11 23:19 I listened to Ed Stewart on Radio 2 this afternoon - he asked for requests for comedy songs. I'm going to email and ask for Jake's On Again, On Again.

That's nothing; I remember Eamonn Andrews on Crackerjack, and Uncle Mac on Children's Favourites........

I also remember Pam Ayres about six years ago, in the same slot that Ed Stewart has now, reading out a letter from a listener called Tony, who was asking for news of Jake. She then played a track, but I can't remember which. A couple of us contacted her and we were put in touch with Tony, but after a brief correspondence have since lost contact.

I wonder if Tony has found any of our websites?

Re: Ed Stewart Show - 2004/01/13 23:03 Gordon and Pam - you must have been mere toddlers!!
I used to rush home from school, make myself a tomato sauce sandwich and watch Crackerjack. But my absolute favourite was Art Club with Tony Hart.
