Just read a posting in the Guestbook section from the above named Andy Sayers and it reminded me of an evening at Mold's Theatre Clwyd when , strangely , only a dozen or so people turned up to see him perform on the main stage. I say "strangely" because whenever he turned up to do the "First Tuesday Folk" gig in the "Clwyd Room" the place would be heaving with a couple of hundred trying to get in: they arrange an evening in the bigger venue and there was hardly anyone there! Anyway, just as Andy says, Jake soon sussed out that the gig was poorly attended but rather than perform to a smattering of people he insisted that we should all sit as close as we could in a section near the front of the stage. As ever with Jake it was another great night. Do you know , I think I'll go and listen to him now.............
