Jake and Elvis; label-mates! - 2008/06/02 20:35
Well I never!
Just browsing through the 'discography'(singles) section of the site, I noticed that Jake's "Remember Bethlehem" was released in the US as the 'A' side of a single on the somewhat legendary Sun label of Memphis, Tennessee.
This was of course the very same label (albeit a re-activated version in the late 60s) that recorded and released the first sides by a young truck driver by the name of Presley. (Not to mention the label that launched the careers of Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ike Turner, Charlie Rich and Roy Orbison.
Who'd have thought they'd ever have been in such esteemed company!)
