Debts to Jake - 2004/02/18 06:04 I don't know if this has ever been suggested before, but has anyone else noticed the similarities between "Sister Josephine" and Eric Idle's film "Nuns on the Run"? Was a debt ever acknowledged? Squeeze-box? Constant screamer.

Re: Debts to Jake - 2004/02/27 09:58 What an excellent suggestion! But seriously, folks, all those coincidences - Big Bad Norman/Desmond ... on the run; tenderness towards the younger nuns (remember the shower scene with Robbie Coltrane and the girls?); the toilet seat; the shaving ... I really do wonder whether the borrowings were subconscious.

Good luck and good fun with the Jakefest. I do sometimes feel a bit left out, stuck here in a foreign land that I now call home but will probably never BE home. Still, with Jake's humour, poetry and sense of ... life, I think I'll make it.
