Twas the Night Before the Jakefest... - 2005/08/08 22:36
Hello All
This is a note about Friday 16th September - the night before the
Jakefest.
Those of you in the city on the Friday are invited to come along for a
get together in the Cellar Bar of a pub on the Royal Mile in
the centre of the city. The pub is the Canon's Gate, just beyond the
junction with Jeffrey Street, on the right as you walk down from the
Castle towards Holyrood. The booking is from 7.30 ish onwards. Last
orders depends how many people are there - a quiet night and it's till
23.00 or thereby, a busy night and the bar staff will probably keep
the place open till midnight or beyond.
Children will be OK so long as accompanied by parents/appropriate adults
The evening will include an open mic session at which anyone so
inclined may sing a song or three - not necessarily Jake material just
whatever comes naturally.
