 Jake on Mike Harding show 20/9/2006 Radio 2 8pm - 2006/09/19 12:27 My wife, who normally frowns on my activities, and Jake's music has just found an entry in our weekly listings magazine which says that the Mike Harding show Radio 2 Wednesday 20/9/2006 at 8pm includes :- "comedy songs and monologues from Jake Tackray"

Can't find a notification elsewhere here so I thought I'd put up this post

I missed the original broadcast but have just "listened again" via http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/r2music/folk/harding/ - nice to hear Cosmatheka, Vin Garbutt, Tony Capstick and others as well as Jake with Leopold Alcocks.

Mike H said he'd had lots of emails requesting Jake, wanting lots of different songs, so it was a nice tribute.

 Re:Jake on Mike Harding show 20/9/2006 Radio 2 8pm - 2006/10/02 11:57 Disappointing to learn that TOPSie couldn't "find notification elsewhere" about this broadcast as I'd posted THREE advanced notices on the "Jake's Music" forum ! Never mind. Having returned from my holidays I've just listened to my tape recording of the show and it was,indeed,great that Mike confirmed that by far the biggest part of his postbag was for Jake;my only personal sadness was that he didn't mention "The Bull" in the list of songs that had been requested. Oh well, onward and upward.....
