Which cd's advice please? - 2006/10/09 13:41 Rightly or wrongly, I cannot enjoy Jake other than accoustically. The orchestral arrangements leave me cold I'm afraid. Therefore, could those in the know advise me of which albums I should and shouldn't buy? Many thanks.

Re:Which cd's advice please? - 2006/10/09 14:05 Of those available: Jake in a box is the complete EMI recordings which has all of the orchestral stuff plus quite a lot of acoustic. The Live performance double cd has no orchestration at all and is brilliant.

Our own "Live in Germany" cd is Jake and Alan Williams (bass)

The 2 Lobster Pot cds are also Jake and Alan.

Of the vinyl (try Netsounds on the web or eBay), Live Performance and "And Songs" have no orchestration but variously feature Alan Williams and John Etheridge (guitar).

On Again! On Again is Jake plus bass and guitar.

Hope this helps

Ian
