 Jake's birthday? - 2008/02/27 11:57 I have a note that it's today, but the only mention of his birthdate that Google turns up says 22 Feb. Still, the BBC got both the date of death and his age wrong when he died. Anyone know anything authoritative?

Whether it was last Friday or today, he would have been 70.

 Re:Jake's birthday? - 2008/02/29 17:31 For the record, David Harris said on Topica that he had called Sheila Thackray and she confirmed that Jake's birthday was 27th February. That's authoritative!

Yesterday someone edited one occurrence of 22nd in Wikipedia; today I edited the second.

 Re:Jake's birthday? - 2008/03/02 10:50 Just while there's chance to "listen again" on the BBC i-player, Mike Harding played "Castleford Ladies....." last Wednesday and said that he wished he'd had half Jake's talent ( either side of playing the track,he made several other fulsome comments,too ).See what you think....
