Re: Experiment - 2004/01/12 00:41 Plans are being prepared for a 'Mini Jake-Fest Northwest', based within easy reach of Liverpool. An informal function room of a pub type gig, a Saturday afternoon and evening in March. Details to follow. You can pre-empt by letting me know if you're keen and have any date preference.

Re: Experiment - 2004/01/14 22:53 I see you've taken the plunge and booked 27 March for the Wirral Fest - well done Phil.

I've some friends in Chester due to take a long leave of absence in April, so it looks like a good chance to visit the area and give them a send-off.

Re: Experiment - 2004/01/14 23:44 Well, now..... Depending on the Quote I get from Porters Fuchsias in Formby, I may be very near the Mersey very near week 14... so 80-20 Ross from Fife will be there. I do hope I can because Devonfest is same date as Fife garden festival.....Boo!

Re: Experiment - 2004/01/16 11:45

I emailed Phil about this first thing this morning, but I see no sign of it on the boards, so in case he hasn’t picked it up yet I’m posting it myself, as time is short. I hope I haven’t got it wrong!

Travelodge have a special offer on at present : rooms at £5 a night
(ie for a whole family) - BUT -
you have to book by Sunday 18th January and stay by the 31st of March.

I fed the postcode of the North-West Minifest venue into their website [travelodge.co.uk], which says there is a lodge 2.7 miles away at 25 Haymarket, Liverpool, L1 6ER, Tel: 0870 191 1656

There may just be time for people to take advantage of this, though Travelodge do say that their city centre lodges are very booked up already.

Anyway, check it out if you think it's worth while - sorry I didn't think of it sooner.
