An intro from Jake: There are about fourteen countries to my calculations (which might be wrong) - fourteen countries in the world today where the troops of one country are occupying and imprisoning the people of another country. The sight of a soldier with a gun guarding a civilian is commonplace - isn't it? There's a famous lavatory-wall slogan which proclaims - it's a middle-class lavatory, by the way - which proclaims that 'Fighting for peace is like fornicating for virginity'. This song could be called "The Soldier"; I call it "The Prisoner". |
