TORRINGTON JAKEFEST UPDATE - 14/09/04 PDF Print E-mail

A few more points about the coming weekend.

1) The Plough's cafe WILL be open on Sunday morning from 10am for coffee, cakes and sandwiches (Iris, the chef, is having a lie-in, though, so there won't be cooked meals). We can all meet there to discuss the weekend's events before heading for home.

2) Could anyone who has booked for the Projet Brassens performance/meal on Friday and is a vegetarian please give the Plough a ring and tell them so. Iris needs to know how many vegetarians she's catering for.

3) The Saturday morning meeting will start at 10am. There will be news of the 'Sister Josephine Kicks the Habit' project, a talk from Dr Colin Evans (with video) and a Q & A session. Don't miss it!

4) The musicians' workshop, which will be an extremely informal session where musos can ex change tips and tricks, will take place in the Plough's Gallery from 2pm. All welcome.

5) If anyone intends taking advantage of the Saturday night buffet (£8 per head) and hasn't let me know, please could you do so now. Iris needs to know how much food to buy.

6) I spoke to Stephane, bar and cafe manager, today, and he is stocking up on real, local ales in readiness for the weekend. Thought you'd like to know that!
