In the last year there have been nearly 70,000 hits on this site and just short of 500 people have signed up as members. Hopefully the coming year will see those numbers scale even dizzier heights, helped along the way by the "Sister Josephine Kicks The Habit" musical in May 2005 and by the BBC Radio2 documentary broadcast tonight. Whilst raising your glasses in a toast to Jake, why not check out the video and audio clips that have been featured over the last year. In addition there are two new clips from the early home video footage that was shown at the Torrington Jakefest in September. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Dr Colin Evans for allowing the footage to be shared with those who could not be present. The site has had a software upgrade and redesign. Tabs have been added for "Brother Gorilla", "Personal Column", "Salvation Army Girl" and "Scallywag". A new section titled "Jake Remembered" has been added, thanks to a lot of time and effort from Judith Taylor. It's packed full of anecdotes and recollections to make you laugh and cry. |
