Victor Lewis-Smith has today announced that, after a number of false starts, his Associated Rediffusion TV Productions company has been commissioned, with an agreed budget, by BBC4 Television, to make an hour-long documentary tribute to Jake Thackray, and that this will be centred around the production of Sister Josephine Kicks The Habit. The programme is scheduled for transmission in the late summer this year and will, it is hoped, be repeated at a later date on BBC2. It is likely that the programme will be directed by ARTV's Graham Pass - who was responsible for producing the BBC Radio 2's Christmas Eve Jakefest programme - with Victor Lewis-Smith himself as Executive Producer. Other details will be announced later. |
