JAKE LIVE IN GERMANY - AVAILABLE NOW PDF Print E-mail

One of the aims of the Jake Thackray Project group has been to find ways of making good quality recordings of Jake Live available to a wider audience. The first Project cd release – a limited edition remaster of otherwise unavailable tracks – was an instant success in 2003.

Since then, because of misgivings about sound quality of the various tapes we have found,  the solution has been to put up transcriptions of Jake's chats, by some dedicated work from Keith, Judith and others.

For our second JT Project release, Ian Burdon has prepared a professionally re-mastered release of Jake's live concert in Germany for the British Forces Broadcasting Service broadcast in 1982. As well as a good selection of popular and obscure songs by Jake, it includes some of the classic banter that we have come to treasure.

The CD runs for 39 minutes of pure you know what, including The Gorilla, Worried Brown Eyes, The Jolly Captain, Sister Josephine, Over to Isobel, Isabella, The Hair of the Widow of Bridlington and One of Them. Please note that it is a digital remaster from an analogue source.

The CD is priced at £9.50 (which includes P&P to anywhere in the world). Please click on the Paypal link below, or send a cheque payable to JT Project, to David at:

JT Project, 15 Mulberry Hill, Shenfield, Brentwood, CM15 8JS.

PLEASE NOTE: This project cd is NOT the same as the Lobster Pot Vol 2 cd which is available to buy from Lobster Pot Records. The Project cd is a JTProject production for the fan base and any surplus on sales will be used to fund the release of further archive recordings.
