The Fake Thackrays - York - 27 & 28 February 2010

The 2010 'Jake with mushy peas' event will be held on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 February, in All Saints Hall, Upper Poppleton, near York.

Previous evenings were very successful and great fun – we sold out of tickets, we sold out of beer, the food was 'champion' and Jake's songs were as fresh, funny and sharp as ever..

Ticket price of £12.50 will include pie and peas supper (veggie option available). There will be more than sufficient quantities of Yorkshire real ale, wine and other refreshments available. On top of all that, a full programme of the wisdom, wit and music of the greatest English songwriter-poet of the last 50 years. (OK so we're biased!). Performers will include David Shaw-Parker, Hugh Bradley and John Watterson.

Doors open at 7 pm for 7.30 start.

Proceeds will again go to Candlelighters; a Leeds based charity which supports children with cancer and their families (www.candlelighters.org.uk).
